Role Purpose

Support the financial reporting function to deliver monthly reports for Vodafone Group including both financial and non- financial information, and provide timely, reliable financial information on revenue, direct costs, Opex and Capex.

Role Responsibility

•Responsible for the calculation and booking of Opex and direct cost manual accruals.
•Responsible for the booking, calculation, monitoring and reversal of all prepayments
•Responsible for the calculation and booking of all regulatory fee accruals and release
•Responsible for the performance of FX revaluation for all balance sheet accounts.
•Responsible for the preparation of month end files used for the preparation of management accounts.
•Responsible for the review of all balance sheet account prepared by other stakeholders.
•Responsible for the completion of the monthly B/S reconciliation process.
•Responsible for all revenue, cost and tax manual accrual reversals and investigations of large variances
•Assist with responses to queries raised by stakeholders on monthly management reports
•Responsible for the tracking, booking, revaluation and reconciliation of all intercompany accounts.
•Physical verification of assets (including assets under construction)
•Assist with Inventory Assessment
•Collaborate effectively with other departments within Finance department to facilitate accurate and timely      accounting for financial transactions
•Provide relevant documentations required for internal & external audit purposes.
•Work with all relevant departments to reconcile all relevant accounts.
•To provide basis for financial analysis by other stakeholders
•Ensure adequacy and adherence to transaction processing controls and procedures.

Professional / Technical Competencies

•Bachelor’s degree Preferably Accounting related.
•Have good understanding of financial issues with emphasis on financial reporting
•Good understanding of the Telecom industry is a plus
•Proficiency in SAP
•Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements
•Knowledgeable in the use of any accounting software and Microsoft packages.
•familiar with IFRS
•Computer literate, strong in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
•Good understanding of financial transactions and accounting for them
•Extensive knowledge and experience with SAP
