Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our client’s organization as the Head of Finance. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leading and managing the finance department, overseeing financial operations, and providing strategic financial guidance to drive the success of our client’s beverage industry business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support business objectives.
- Conduct regular financial analysis, monitor key performance indicators, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess investment opportunities, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and evaluate business initiatives.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to statutory obligations.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic budgets and cost control measures.
- Monitor expenditure, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to optimize financial performance.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.
- Treasury and Cash Management:
- Oversee cash flow management, including forecasting cash needs, optimizing working capital, and managing banking relationships.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow efficiency, minimize borrowing costs, and mitigate currency and interest rate risks.
- Monitor and manage liquidity, ensuring adequate funds are available for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to develop their skills and capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and identify training and development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the beverage industry or related consumer goods sector.
- In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Proficiency in financial planning and budgeting processes, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Experience in managing treasury functions, including cash flow management and risk mitigation.
- Excellent leadership and people management abilities, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
