Tullow Oil is a well-established, recognised independent oil and gas company focussed on Africa and South America. The Group has interests in over 30 exploration and production licences across 8 countries in Africa and South America.

Tullow Oil has an exciting opportunity for a Planning & Performance Analyst to join the Contracts and Procurement Team.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team collecting and analysing data to identify key insights and opportunities for the Procurement team and conduct internal Procurement function’s business analysis to support sustainable continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time permanent position, based in our Chiswick office with hybrid working arrangements.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For:

  1. Performance Improvement
  • Develop tables, charts, written reports and presentations as required i.e Procurement planning, cost savings and risk registers
  • Collect and analyse data to identify key insights and opportunities for the Procurement team
  • Assist the Procurement team to develop practical and actionable initiatives
  • Assist Procurement Managers and Contract Advisors to implement continuous improvement initiatives to ensure ongoing sustainability
  • Assist the Supply Chain Leadership to analyse and deliver measurable Procurement improvements
  • Conduct market research to identify performance improvement and digital opportunities
  1. Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Maintain lines of communication with site personnel to ensure service satisfaction

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a continuous improvement role
  • Strong results focus, with a continuous improvement skill set
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, planning and communication skills
  • Good problem definition and structuring skills, presentation skills and ability to visualise complex problems simply to achieve desired results
  • Experience in SAP, Coupa, and other eProcurement tools
  • Ability to develop manage and sustain effective and collaborative business relationships with key stakeholders
  • Creativity that enables to see new opportunities
  • Ability to take a step back and maintain an overall vision, to devise a long-term strategy
  • Promote a culture of best procurement practice, and uphold and work within the Tullow Values
  • Experience in the oil and gas sector desirable

Education and Experience

  • University educated to at least Bachelor’s degree level
  • Recognised Procurement and/or Supply Chain qualification desirable
