Job Summary:
As a Group HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the human resources functions within a group of companies. You will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy and objectives. Your key responsibilities will include strategic planning, talent management, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the group’s overall business goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management to identify and address HR challenges and opportunities.
  2. Talent Management: Develop and implement talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent within the group. Lead and oversee the performance management process, including setting performance goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  3. Employee Relations: Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, employee grievances, and disciplinary actions. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  4. Compensation and Benefits: Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and employee benefits. Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  5. Training and Development: Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies. Identify training needs, coordinate training sessions, and evaluate training effectiveness.
  6. HR Operations: Oversee HR operations, including payroll, HRIS management, employee data management, and HR reporting. Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  7. Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with local laws and regulations and align with the group’s values and culture. Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they are current and effective.
  8. Employee Engagement: Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, including employee surveys, recognition programs, and wellness programs. Foster a positive work culture and promote employee satisfaction and engagement.
  9. HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations and proactively address any compliance issues.
  10. HR Reporting and Analytics: Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree in HR or related field is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  3. Strong knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
  4. Demonstrated experience in strategic HR planning, talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, and HR operations.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  6. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.

As a Group HR Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the human resources function within the group of companies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the business objectives and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Your ability to strategically plan, manage talent, foster employee engagement, ensure compliance, and provide HR leadership and expertise will be essential in supporting the group’s growth and success.

 

Basic Salary Range: GHC18,000.00 to GHC20,000.00
