About the job

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning and Development (L&D) and Talent Manager to join our organization. As the L&D and Talent Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our employees’ skills, knowledge, and capabilities to drive overall organizational success. You will be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive learning programs, talent development strategies, and performance improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design, talent management, and employee development, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Development Strategy:

• Develop and execute a strategic L&D plan aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.

• Identify skill gaps and training needs through comprehensive training needs analysis.

• Design and implement learning initiatives that address the development needs of various employee groups.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and continuously improve their quality and relevance.

Training Program Development and Delivery:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design and create engaging and effective training content, materials, and resources.

• Implement various learning methodologies, such as classroom training, online courses, workshops, and coaching sessions.

• Utilize modern learning technologies and platforms to enhance the learning experience.

• Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and development programs.

Talent Development and Succession Planning:

• Identify high-potential employees and create tailored development plans to nurture their growth.

• Implement and manage a structured talent development and succession planning process.

• Promote a culture of continuous learning and self-development among employees.

• Work with managers to support employee career progression and talent retention.

Performance Management and Appraisal:

• Collaborate with HR and managers to develop a performance management framework.

• Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on the performance management process.

• Monitor performance trends and provide data-driven insights to enhance individual and team performance.

• Assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities and implementing corrective actions.

Employee Engagement and Learning Culture:

• Foster a positive learning culture that promotes curiosity, collaboration, and innovation.

• Implement employee engagement strategies to encourage participation in learning and development initiatives.

• Act as a mentor and coach to employees, supporting their professional growth.

Learning and Development Metrics and Reporting:

• Develop and maintain relevant metrics to track the impact and effectiveness of L&D programs.

• Prepare and present regular reports to leadership on the progress and outcomes of learning initiatives.

Qualification and requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

• Proven experience as an L&D Manager, Talent Development Manager, or a related role.

• Solid understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.

• Must be bilingual (French and English)

• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with stakeholders.

• Certifications in talent management or learning and development are advantageous.
