Job Summary:
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to drive revenue growth and market share within the building material manufacturing industry. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. This position requires strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a proven track record in sales management.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets and budgets.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
- Motivate and inspire the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Account Management:
- Identify and establish relationships with key accounts, distributors, and partners.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and terms with key clients.
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and loyalty among key accounts.
Sales Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day sales operations, including order processing, inventory management, and sales reporting.
- Monitor sales performance and KPIs, and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and production, to optimize sales processes.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new market segments and product opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to adapt to changing market conditions.
Sales Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Develop sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with the finance department.
- Monitor and manage expenses within budget constraints.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the brand.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Proven experience in sales management within the building material manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Analytical skills for market research and data analysis.
- Goal-oriented and results-driven mindset.
- Knowledge of building materials and construction industry trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
