Job Summary:

As the Logistics Audit and Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our logistics operations. You will be responsible for conducting audits, improving processes, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods within the supply chain. This position requires a combination of strong analytical skills, operational expertise, and leadership abilities to drive continuous improvement in logistics efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit and Compliance Management:

  • Conduct regular audits of the logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of audit findings and recommend changes to existing procedures when necessary.

Process Optimization:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline logistics processes, from procurement to distribution, with a focus on cost reduction and service enhancement.
  • Implement lean and efficient logistics strategies to minimize waste and improve resource utilization.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of logistics operations.
  • Continuously monitor KPIs, analyze data, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Take proactive measures to address any deviations from performance targets.

Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, including carriers, warehouses, and third-party logistics partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective solutions and quality service.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure efficient stock management to prevent overstocking or shortages.
  • Implement inventory control measures to optimize working capital and reduce carrying costs.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their performance aligns with company objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team.

Technology Integration:

  • Evaluate and implement logistics technology solutions, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS), to enhance operational efficiency and visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in logistics and operations management, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and technology.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
